FAQs
Who should complete the supervisory excellence training?
Supervisory Excellence is designed for all Utah Tech employees who supervise or manage others, whether you are new to supervision or have years of leadership experience. The series provides both foundational knowledge and practical tools to strengthen supervisory skills, reinforce University expectations, and support effective leadership across campus.
Are Core Series Courses required?
Yes. The nine core courses are required for all supervisors and are designed to provide a consistent foundation of supervisory knowledge, skills, and University expectations. Supervisors will have the opportunity to complete the required courses during Fall Semester 2026 or Spring Semester 2027, allowing flexibility to select sessions that best fit their schedules. Spring Semester 2027 training dates will be scheduled and announced closer to the start of the spring semester.
